He then knew that he had to go the route that he was always meant to travel. So that’s what he did. He is a drummer, content creator, podcaster, and now a junior art director. So, whats next?

Lauren E. Terrell is a Content Producer at Paramount. Lauren works with the AD Sales/ Brand Solutions production team inside of BET to deliver experiences that engage consumers with brands in exciting and compelling ways by writing and producing original branded content. She works alongside her team to determine best opportunities for brands to amplify their marketing efforts across all network platforms.

In conjunction with her production expertise, Lauren is also a content creator and artist. Lauren’s use of her art and design background has resulted in a range of paintings and artwork exhibited in numerous galleries – an upcoming show is in the works – and worn by supporters of BLM; a portion of the proceeds have benefited the movement. She also is the Chief Activation Officer of the E.Y.E. LEAD Foundation, (Exposing Our Young Men to Excellence & Leadership). E.Y.E. LEAD provides lifelong programming, mentorship and support to all of its participants, through all stages of life.

D’mani Thomas is a Black visual theorist, horror enthusiast, and writer from Oakland, California (Ohlone territory). D’mani has received fellowships from The Watering Hole, Foglifter literary journal, and Afro Urban Society. His work has been published by: The Auburn Avenue, The Ana, MARY: A Journal of New Writing, and his poem, “Survival Tactics” was recently shortlisted for the 2020 Penrose Poetry Prize. He has also been nominated for a “2021 Best New Poets” award by Foglifter journal. His current work obsesses over what it means to create queer intimacy under total surveillance.

A former debate coach of 6 years, he is always looking for ways to combine powerful language with his love of cinema.

With an imagination cultivated by anime, BTS, and all the fictional stories Black people were never represented in, Sydni has crafted a brand of storytelling that is innovative and inclusive. Simply put, it’s some Real Hot Girl Shit.

An overall multi-hyphenate, Sydni proves that “often a jack of all trades is better than a master of one” by using the knowledge gained from her many interests to enhance her craft and to create impactful moments that stay with audiences for a lifetime.

As a Dominican New Yorker who isn’t rough around the edges, I am light-hearted and loving by nature, organized by choice, and creative by design.

I like to express my creativity in different ways, cooking, writing poetry, illustrating cartoons and realistic renders. I am an ideator that loves to solve problems. As a Project Manager I lead teams to produce ideas for Art Directors. I take pride in foreseeing and addressing them while bringing their vision to life.

Family is a big part of my life. In fact, it’s actually HUGE! In my eyes, connection and community are extensions of our families. My professional and personal experience have taught me the value of bringing communities together. What amazed me is learning that no matter where we come from, we are all the same. This realization has allowed me to connect with anyone because everyone has a story and I’d love to hear them.

Taylor Monique, aka rough draft, is a Philly-based poet, mixed media artist, and designer of Poetry for the Streets, a brand who’s focus is to create clothes that reflect the person wearing them, upcycled and embellished with poetry and mantras. She is Operations and Communications coordinator at Blue Stoop ( @bluestoopphl ), and is currently working on her debut chapbook. Through her writing and design creations, she has received the Judith Stark award and Illuminate the Arts Grant. She is also is a Philly Typewriter sponsored poet and has performed on stages in Philly, Jersey, Delaware, and New York.

Photographer, videographer, producer, and overall media-maven Linn W. creates a vibe like no other. The attention she pours into every photograph, video, and project she graces makes her one of the most coveted creatives to work with. Straight out of college, the SUNY New Paltz graduate tapped into her creative energy by spearheading, producing, and editing videos for young visionaries.

Linn’s love for creating art led her to launch LinnTVProductions, a boutique production house that develops unique content for events, small businesses, influencers, and celebrities. With her talented eye, Linn captures the essence of whatever her lens focuses on. Now four years in business, she has created content for top clientele like Lena Waithe, Andre Gaines, and Michelle Richburg.

Her personal mission is to leave a legacy behind that accurately depicts her joy of creating. Her rigorous work ethic and artistic eye has aligned her with some of today’s greatest talents. Lovest is a storyteller and photographer born and raised in Inglewood, California. He’s a graduate of Howard University with a background in film and scriptwriting. My creative journey began with a love for music, beat making, and songwriting. Rooted in gospel and jazz, I’m an old soul but a child at heart who finds that my best work just feels like play.

I somehow found my passion for graphic design 2 years into college at FSU studying IT, toiling away at Photoshop during lectures. My eye for timeless, nostalgic, yet fresh design is at the core of my work.

I bring all of these disparate creative endeavors and perspectives into my art direction. There’s nothing more exciting for me than creating something that invokes a visceral feeling and inspires others to take action.

Aliko is a 26 year old, trans, first generation America, jewish, POC of Caribbean, french, and mediterranean decent.

Along with his branding, website, photography and videography business, Aliko is also the founder and director of U Productions, and Expansion Festival. As a seasoned event producer and seasoned designer, he puts his skills to use daily to carve out spaces for our humanity. That can mean dance, grief, joy, etc. in the forms of space curation, experience curation, design, photography and more.

In his free time he enjoys playing and listening to music, dancing, doing yoga, spending time in nature, traveling, and learning about somatic therapy, architecture, and spirituality.

Jasmine Williams is a textile artist and writer living in Brooklyn, New York. She enters the advertising world after spending the last six years working in a variety of NYC industries, including sustainable fashion, fine art, and video production. She has been lucky enough to learn from a diverse array of employers such as Mara Hoffman, The Untitled Space, and D’Addario & Co. Her textile work has been featured on the stages of Alvin Ailey Dance Theater and the New York City Ballet.

She was recently tapped to be a guest speaker at Contagious Magazine’s 2020 festival. In the Before Times, you could catch her watching live music or attempting to try every Ethiopian restaurant within the five boroughs. These days, spot her jogging through Fort Greene park, filming roof sunsets, or roller-skating in empty school zones.

Kali is multimedia artist, curator and teacher from West Philadelphia. She has been a photographer since she was 16 years old and a graphic designer for one year. Kali has extended her creative eye into various stages and parts of life some of her biggest accomplishments being studying abroad in France for photography and painting, curating her very own solo show “Reawakening” in 2019, and having that work in residency at the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center in 2020. Along side her independent creative endeavors Kali is currently a fifth grade girls teacher working with “The University of Rap” an organization that strives to provide music scholarship and educational philanthropy by connecting artists with students to bridge the gap between community services and academic achievement. Kali plans to continue to be of service to her community through progressive, and unique forms of expression.

My name is Jordan Wright. I’m an art director who loves good stories and a good cup of tea. I earned my BFA in Art and Design from Columbia College Chicago (class of ’15) and have continued to perfect my craft in the time since.

I’ve always been a thoughtful person. As a black, queer, woman, I aim to create meaningful experiences that make people feel seen.

My creativity fuels my passions. You can often find me experimenting with makeup or making a mess in the kitchen. I also love the challenge of learning new things and typically spend my free time playing video games and practicing Korean.
